I love my blogs – all ten of them. Well it is not that many but it feels that way sometimes. It is just hard to get to them all once a week – heck once a month. Once upon a time, I read some blogging advice that I no longer believes hold true – that a blog should be about one subject. That may be good for niche blogging but not practical to those like me who just really want to talk about their hobbies and junk.
Don’t get me wrong. I would love a niche blog or ten that made money. But alas, I just can’t seem to focus on one subject for more than three days. So I’ve already announced that I plan to fold my photography blog into this one. I also have an old blog that I want to fold into a new one I started a few months ago.
It seems this is my cycle with blogging – do some blog posts, add a few new blogs to the mix, cut back on some blogs, get down to 3-4 blogs, then repeat. If I could just stay at that four number, work really hard on those, then I think I would be satisfied. So my eclectic blogs – like this one – may feature more subjects in the future as I resist the urge to start a new blog for a couple of ideas I have for blog posts on a subject.
